On behalf of the Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for working with us on the purchase of your HF-800 two-speed log splitter. The mounting bracket your machine shop made for us to fit our Volvo L110H front-end loader was a great fit, allowing for easy access to allow it to be up and running. The materials our facility accepts and uses this machine on are logs ranging from 10 to 14-foot lengths and between 12 to 40 inches in diameter from Sycamore to Maple and Ash trees. Due to this new purchase, the MUA has effectively applied cost savings to our budget as we no longer need to rent a log sheer for this purpose. The device will pay for itself in four years time from purchase. In addition, the MUA also rents a horizontal grinder from a partnering agency in the use of this new splitter has effectively dropped our grind time from around 50 hours down to 35 hours of run time. Moreover, fuel costs have also dropped a little less than 400 gallons as well. Overall the HF-800 splitter is a great fit for our site operations.
